Boke Làvukhufíh (/ˈləvuc/ /ˈhufɪ̞/ [skill] [innocent]) is a subtropical Large City located in the Kririsi̊mù Region of the Tetburland.
The name Boke Làvukhufíh is derived from the Sylvin language, as Boke Làvukhufíh was founded by Dilys, who was culturaly Tauran.
Climate
Boke Làvukhufíh has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 34°C (93°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Boke Làvukhufíh receives an average of 279 cm/y (109 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Boke Làvukhufíh covers an area of nearly 86 km2 (34 mi2), and an average elevation of 2720 m (8923 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Boke Làvukhufíh was founded durring the early 13th century in fall of the year 1200, by Dilys. The establishment of Boke Làvukhufíh was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Dilys struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Boke Làvukhufíh as a prison colony.
Boke Làvukhufíh was built using the conventions of Tauran durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Boke Làvukhufíh is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Boke Làvukhufíh is buildings are arranged within a network of premissive cobblestone streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city is in posession of a finaly crafted dwarvern style fortified fighting wall, completer with lower, middle, and upper battlments for use in sloped-fire defence stratagies, murder holes, and statues which may or may not be constructs, and, of course, MERTICULATIONSshortsizename is one of the wealthiest and politicaly connected settlments in the world.. The city's Ragnarock-era relics are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the city's defences.
A quick look in any direction shows Boke Làvukhufíh is filled with vices. There are many taverns, brothels are advertising their services on the streets, cardsharks are plying their illicit trade within public squairs, and every shop has at least three signs advertising various sales on goods. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this city live. Cultural Notes
Life is hard in Boke Làvukhufíh. Its people are impoverished compared to their peers elsewhere. Something is making the locals stay, however, whether fear of the alternative, hope for a better future, or a stubborn attachment to their ancestral lands. Whatver the reason, living in this harsh area for generations has made the people of Boke Làvukhufíh a notably resourceful and hearty people.
Boke Làvukhufíh's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.
